Light Lens Lab 75mm f2 SPII - Black Paint
Light Lens Lab's modern tribute to a 1940s Double-Gaussian formula from the SP-II lineage, refined for today's high-resolution digital sensors. The image circle now covers up to 44 x 33mm, so it works comfortably on full-frame Leica M bodies and medium-format crop sensors alike. Achromatic elements keep contrast balanced and aberrations in check, while the signature rendering shows atmospheric tonal transitions wide open at f/2 and crisps up beautifully as you stop down.
Every optical and mechanical component is designed, machined, and hand-assembled in-house. The Black Paint version is finished in classic deep matte black over a 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum body, with 12 aperture blades, a preset diaphragm in half-stop increments, and a Reid-style clip-on hood integrated into the body.
